Pack String at the #DuncanFire

The Chiwaukum Complex is a large scale incident requiring a lot of specialized resources. One resource used that made a rare appearance on the Duncan Fire was the Pack String. The Pack String is composed of two to three groups of about 8 mules and horses. They were used to transport crucial firefighting equipment to a remote area of the fire. The line took everything from pumps, hose, fuel, and hose appliances up the Eniat River Trail, almost to the edge of the Glacier Peak Wilderness. Big thanks to the Icicle Outfitters and Guides for your great work.
